This week we talk to Dr. Brad Cohen of Tennessee Tech about migrating waterfowl and his latest research. Brad is a serious waterfowl scientist and we learn something every time we talk with him. Brad discusses a research project looking at what influences where mallards settle, plus what does a landscape need to look like to get ducks to choose it during winter and then return the next year. We also discuss hunting pressure, how it affects hunter success and how adding small rest areas increased hunter opportunity to shoot at birds.
